Blackie - 15.1H, welsh cob/Qtr horse cross, 95' black gelding

Blackie he is a nice, big gelding that may make a very nice hunter/jumper.  He has big, powerful, slow, leggy movement.  He has been turned out for about 4 yrs, only been ridden a handful of times.  Before he was turned out he was a beginner family's trail horse.  Not for a complete beginner rider quite yet, but he was a beginner's horse and he just needs somebody to ride him again.  Could work for a confident beginner that is willing to put the time into him, he is not goofy and has a laid-back, quiet, lazy attitude.  He rides western and English, and he has jumped little fences.  He also rides well bareback with just a halter on.  We have taken him over little cross rails and he has potential to make a cute hunter for local shows.   He has great conformation, very stout, true black,  and a gorgeous head.  He will stand for baths, and he likes to drink water right out of the hose.  Great around kids and dogs.  Easy to catch-even in the pasture with other horses he will come right up to you.  He leads, loads, bathes, clips, and stands tied quietly.  Up to date on all shots, worming, farrier, and has a current coggins.
